Seasonal changes and skin

As seasons change, we may notice differences in how our skin looks and feels.
Tighter, itchy, with redness or a disturbing oily feeling..We all have experienced one of these symptoms at some point.
Temperature shifts, humidity level changes, stronger winds, the appearance of different pollen varieties, moving from hot and humid outdoors to air-conditioned dry indoors, all these factors may affect our skin and its general state.
As a result to these elements, the skin’s barrier function can weaken, making it more prone to irritation.
Heat and humidity induces sweating, clogging pores and leading to flare ups, while during cold weather, heaters will take away moisture, causing our skin to dry out and irritate.
Dermatologist recommend to adjust our skin care routine accordingly, avoiding heavy and comedogenic creams in the hot months, and using slightly richer and more nourishing textures in the cold and dry winter season.
A healthy and happy skin is meant to strive unnoticed!
